Believe it or not, this was not an emergency picture. I actually like wavy lines in sliced parmesan. Someday I will find a way to make it picture worthy.

Project 365: Day sevENTy Five
As many of you know, I tend to drink Khaos Monster to get thru the rougher days. Or any day, really. Ben and I walked down to PDQ and picked up a can, and he insisted on carrying it, while I carried him. He kept pretending to drink from the unopened can. It made me think "Is this why he has so much energy all the time? Have I found his secret?" And so I took some pictures of him with the can of Monster and then running around.
Soundtrack: Hatebreed - I Will Be Heard
Cat: He was just here
Project 365: Day seVENty Four

Project 365: Day sEVEnty Three
Ben woke up at some crazy time; I moved him out to the futon so Sam could sleep. He and I eventually fell asleep on the futon, where Sam found us when she woke up. Then she crawled on the futon with Ben, and I got up. Lots of not very restful sleeping going on in this house.
Soundtrack: The People In Your Neighborhood
Cat: Sleeping
Project 265: Day SEVenty Two FAIL
I don't even remember not taking a picture this day.
Soundtrack: The Ladybug Picnic
Cat: Sleeping
Project 365: Day SEventy One
Sam and I have released the offer we had on the Browning house, but with the instructions, that if they ever hear from their bank, to contact us. Since then we've looked at five other houses. One of the houses was a portal into the past. Wood paneling, no upstairs shower, retro furniture, and faded family pictures on the walls. While we didn't get a picture of the deer foot gunrack, we did get a picture of this stylish dog statue.
Soundtrack: Sesame Street Sings Karaoke
Cat: Sleeping
Project 365: Day Seventy
I don't even remember taking this picture, but no one is more likely to take a picture of Onion.
Soundtrack: Some terrible song sung by a claymation orange
Cat: Where is that guy?

¡Sixty Five!
Photo-expedition success! I always struggle with landscapes. In particular, I find it hard to achieve a satisfying visual depth. Some photographers seem to be able to craft a good image no matter what type of landscape they're shooting, but I have noticed the two most common methods for emphasizing depth are either having a repetition that leads to a vanishing point or having a foreground that is lit differently than the background. Silhouettes or spot lit subjects against contrasting backgrounds are easy, if you control the lighting. If you don't, then you have to wait for it to happen naturally. Given that my assistant is under 2yo, I have to happen upon usefully lit landscapes, or return different areas at specific times of day. I've learned that, right now, there are some good spots for shooting between 8:20am and 9:20am.
Ben and I went out around 8:40am, while Sam was sleeping. Ben and I see the hill in the first picture when we take the scenic route home from taking Sam to work; I thought it would be a good first destination. My goal was, for at least the weekend, to improve the quality of shots going up on the 365 blog. There was an amazing blue haze that the sun was slowly dissipating. So I took a few shots from inside the car, and then drove off to a location that looked out onto the lake.
Ben says I'm done writing now.
The rest of the series is here.
Soundtrack: "Mo'! Mo'!"
Cat: Sleeping on the futon
